2012 with hope

Tommy

Christmas is here and soon we shall be in the year 2012. Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust (AYCT) agrees with the Holy Father in his World Day of Peace message that the year now ending has been marked by a “rising sense of frustration” at the crisis looming over society, the world of labour and the economy… it seems as if a shadow has fallen over our time, preventing us from clearly seeing the light of day.

The Holy Father is inviting us to look to 2012 with an attitude of confident trust. He tells us of the beautiful image in Psalm 130 where the Psalmist says that the people of faith wait for the Lord “more that those who watch for the morning” but wait for him with firm hope because they know that he will bring light, mercy and salvation. He reminds us that this waiting was born of the experience of the Chosen People, who realized that God taught them to look at the world in its truth and not to be overwhelmed by tribulation.

AYCT looks to 2012 with hope. As the Fr. Mario Pacifici, who is also the founding trustee says in his 14 December Birthday message, we should thank God “for the simple and great gift of life with its joy and sorrows”.

Andiamo Youth Cooperative Trust wishes a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2012 year to all its partners here and abroad.
